The Trump Department of Justice was weaponized to pursue political enemies. They futilely pursued Andrew McCabe, presented his case to a grand jury, which to the humiliation of Trump DOJ refused to indict, a real black swan event.

The DOJ secretly acquired phone records of reporters from CNN, The Washington Post and New York Times. The DOJ placed CNN attorneys under gag orders to keep this from reaching the light of day. The seizure of a CNN reporters emails continued even after a judge told prosecutors their justifications were “speculative” and “unanchored in any facts.”

Now being revealed are direct…

Mo Brooks Fires Up The Crowd On January 6th. Quote: “our ancestors sacrificed their blood, their sweat, their tears, their fortunes, and sometimes their lives, to give us, their descendants, an America that is the greatest nation in world history. So I have a question for you. Are you willing to do the same?”

Back in early March Representative Eric Swalwell sued Donald Trump, Trump Junior, Rudy Giuliani and fellow Representative Mo Brooks for damages he alleges he suffered by their incitement of the January 6th riot. This post is not about the merits of that action. If you are interested in that you can read a summary of the Complaint that I did HERE.

After filing a lawsuit with a court the next thing Plaintiff must do is serve it on all the defendants pursuant to Rule 4 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. …

This question was recently posed to me in another forum. This was my response.

This nation’s “rot” is today’s Republican Party and much of that “rot” within the Republican Party can be summarized simply. The acceptance of absolutely crazy, fact defying, conspiracy theories became mainstream within the Republican Party. An entire national party is now built around alternative realities.

I’ve followed, and debunked conspiracy theories for a longtime. Historically they included everything from JFK’s assassination, to chemtrails, to Illuminati (of various sorts) secretly running everything, to more recent stuff like the 9/11 conspiracy theories. …

Meredith Unhappy Of His Bail Denial

Yesterday Judge Amy Jackson Berman released a heavily redacted decision denying bail to a man named Cleveland Meredith. Meredith is an interesting story. He never entered the Capitol on January 6th and did not actually participate in any violence there. It wasn’t for lack of trying though. Meredith was late to the party because of vehicle problems, to include with his trailer that contained two guns (including Tavor X95 assault rifle with a telescopic sight), high capacity magazines, and 2,500 rounds of ammunition that included hundreds of armor piercing rounds.

Meredith also made clear what he intended to do when…

A new Ipsos poll makes clear that the Republican Party remains nothing other than the Party of Trump. A Party by Trump, a Party For Trump and a Party of Trump. Some highlights of the lowlifes.

  • 61% of Republicans agree that the election was stolen from Trump.
  • 63% of Republicans want Trump to run in 2024.
  • 65% of Republicans say Trump is not even partly to blame for January 6th. By contrast 90% of Democrats believe Trump was at least partly to blame, as do 61% of independents.
  • 54% of Republicans say January 6th was led by violent left wing…

Matt Gaetz, Joel Greenberg, In Better Days With An Already Convicted Felon

The plea agreement with Joel Greenberg has been released. Greenberg will plead guilty to six of the 33 charges against him. As part of the deal the prosecutors agree to not prosecute the remaining 27. Greenberg agrees to fully cooperate in every way with prosecutors, to include testifying against others in trial if necessary. That the prosecution gave up so much strongly suggests Greenberg has 1) a lot to offer by his cooperation with the prosecution, that 2) includes “big fish.”

Greenberg pleads guilty to the following charges:

1. Sex trafficking of a child, more on that later but this…

“Auditor” At Work

See that picture of the man counting the ballots in the Republican Arizona Kangaroo Recount? His name is Anthony Kern. You can also see him in pictures with the mob storming the Capitol on January 6th.

This article is a follow up to one I did yesterday summarizing a court decision where the judge suggested Former Attorney General William Barr lied to Congress and his DOJ filed knowingly false affidavits in court. The Attorney General’s duplicity was related to the DOJ’s supposedly broadly considered conclusion that Mueller’s investigation failed to prove Former President Trump obstructed justice.

Today I followed up by filing a formal Complaint with disciplinary board of the District of Columbia Bar against Former Attorney General Bar. The narrative of my complaint was as follows:

The subject of this Complaint is William Barr, the…

One of these things is not like the other.

On March 22, 2019 Mueller submitted his report to then Attorney General Barr. Rather than immediately release the report Barr sat on it for weeks. However, on the very day Mueller gave him the massive 400 page report Barr released a letter notoriously “summarizing” Mueller’s conclusions. Among summarized assertions was that Mueller “did not draw a conclusion — one way or the other” as to whether Trump obstructed justice and that this left the question in the hands of Attorney General. …

When Committing Felonies It’s Best To Record It

An interesting conviction by jury trial occurred today. Not included in the statistics for January 6th related arrests is the prosecution of Brendan Hunt. Hunt never went to the Capitol. What Hunt did do, in early December, and a couple days after January 6th was post on social media rather explicit threats against members of Congress. For an understanding of the specificity of the threats, feel free to read his indictment.

Some quotes include:

“Trump, we want actual revenge on democrats. Meaning, we want you to hold a public execution of pelosi aoc schumer etc. And if you dont do…
