A novella by your’s truly set in my wife’s Starstruck universe. You can download the story HERE. With it you will get a coupon for a free copy of the prequel, The Great Trashcan Caper. You can read the blurb for A Cold Jewel Case at the link provided. I also have an article discussing my approach to writing the series, entitled Confessions of Pantser, that you might find amusing.

Beyond that, I came up with a poem about A Cold Jewel Case that I really like:

In Jewel’s streets where secrets sleep, And shadows play where lamplights weep, A mystery stirs in winter’s chill — A father’s death, unsolved and still.

Young Arthur walks with quiet tread, His sharp eyes tracing clues for the dead.

A pipe, a chalk-mark, alley grime — Each clue a ghost from older time.

But trust is rare and truth is hard, for Martian friends with secrets to guard.

With their help can the mystery unfold? Their hopes entwined from truths untold.

Brave Marsha, cloaked in alien grace, steps lightly in this Earthbound place.

She gambles all to earn his trust — For the sleuth’s respect, is a must.

The case grows warmer, day by day, As Arthur never looks away.

He sees through stories, masks, and fear — The past’s long voice he strains to hear.

A pipe, a file, a hidden clue, Revealing secrets long past due.

And when at last the end draws near, the truth stands out, raw and clear.

The stars look down upon Jewel’s face, and smile upon this earthly place.

Justice rises where doubt had reign — A mystery solved to end the pain.
