Ricky Shiffer At The Capitol On January 6th. He’s Now Dead.

Earlier today news broke of an armed man who tried to breach an FBI office in Cincinnati. Alarms sounded and armed guards confronted him. He fled. His vehicle was pursued by law enforcement, and shots were exchanged in the chase. Eventually he exited his vehicle in a cornfield. A standoff ensued, in which more shots were exchanged. Eventually, police closed in, he resisted with his guns, and he was shot and killed.

His name is Ricky Shiffer, age at death, 42. He was present at the Capitol on January 6th, but was not among those charged. Even so, he remained a violent domestic terrorist in waiting for the Trump cause. He was activated in that regard by the FBI’s executing a judge ordered search warrant at Mar-a-Lago.

The proof of this is in a series of stunning posts on Trump’s alternative social media site, “Truth Social.” On Truth Social, Ricky Shiffer stated his violent intentions, and was even asked about them, where he confirmed them. There is no evidence the FBI was notified by Trump’s website.

Two days ago, in response to the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago, Shiffer posted a chilling threat, declaring a “call to arms,” stating “this time we must respond with force.” Another poster rather directly asked if he was proposing terrorism. This is how Shiffer answered:

“No, I am proposing war . . . Kill the F.B.I. on sight, and be ready to take down other active enemies of the people and those who try to prevent you from doing it.”

His final Truth Social post was this morning, after his failed effort to breach the F.B.I. offices. It read:

“Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn’t. If you don’t hear from me it’s true, I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it’ll mean I was either taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent regular cops.”

The man who wrote that is now dead. The “regular cops” got him.

Prior posts made clear his beef was about the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago. Shiffer recommended going there saying, “I think the feds won’t break it up. If they do, kill them.” For the record, that’s the kind of stuff appearing without concern for “censorship” on Trump Social.

In the wake of the search Trump released a statement aimed at firing up his base of crazies. The right wing media latched onto it with rhetoric often militaristic, revolutionary and violent in tone. At least one of those crazies was listening, acted upon it, and lost his life. His blood is on the hands of those, including Trump, who pushed that rhetoric.
