I understand your conflicts. My wife deplores and just cannot tolerate the violence. But she is hooked on the storyline. So what does she do? She watched edited versions of the show where I bring her in to see some of the incredible, amazing marvelous scenes. Some involve the awesome speeches of Daenarys, who my wife for incredible leadership and adherence to principles, but other scenes too.

She has not scene the gruesome torture scenes, or the head crushed by The Mountain, and so forth, and she doesn’t want to. Such things would just haunt her dreams.

But no more compelling storyline has ever been presented on television, and she follows it for that reason.
