It turns out that Trump never mastered “The Art of Repeal.”

Before the election the House Republicans voted over 60 times to repeal Obamacare. It was nothing but showboating for a base too dull witted to see through what they were doing. Now that they have to actually do real policy, they got cold feet. The Republican Healthcare Plan has been 7 years in the not making.

To answer Trump’s question of “is this a good bill?”, the answer is no. Trump backed a plan that both kept the requirement to insure those with preexisting conditions while also reducing the number of insureds by 24 million. As I explained, you can’t do both, and trying to will create an insurance death spiral.
