Musk is beating America’s space program, as in NASA. Totally kicking NASA’s ass. It will be at least another year before NASA’s roughly equivalent in launch capacity, the Space Launch System, comes on line. Not only is that assuming it stays on time, which is doubtful, but it won’t be equal because it won’t have reusable elements. And while NASA works at marginal upgrades to its SLS, with bigger “blocks” of rockets, SpaceX will plow on with the game changing “BFR.”
