Skip the stuff that was said weeks and months ago denying any conversations with Russians.

On Saturday: Trump Jr. says he met with the Russians to talk about adoption issues.

On Sunday: Trump Jr. admits the Russians told him before the meeting it was to talk about dirt on Hillary Clinton.

On Monday: Trump supporters are covering their ears and shouting “lalalala.”

Trump and his team keep moving the goalposts.

Position 1: The Russians didn’t meddle in the election. Any claim the Russians did meddle in the election is fake news.

Position 2: The Russians might have meddled in the election but the Trump campaign didn’t have any contacts with Russians. Any claim the Trump campaign had contact with Russians is fake news.

Position 3: Okay, maybe lots of people in the Trump campaign had contacts with Russians, including but not limited to, Page, Stone, Manafort and Flynn. But none of the contacts had anything to do with any collusion about the election. Any claim that any of the contacts had anything to do with any collusion about the election is fake news.

Position 4: Okay, Trump Jr., had contacts with the Russians trying to get dirt on Hillary Clinton. But collusion is not against the law. Collusion is okay. Happens all the time. Routine stuff.
