I have some hypothetical questions about how DEI works.
Hypo #1: Roberta Cannadie is a black woman nominated to lead the nation’s Health Department. She has absolutely no medical education, training, experience or background of any kind. Roberta is a convicted felon for heroin possession. She acknowledges once being a member of a gang that engaged in home break-in thefts, vandalism and drug use. Her drug addled college career led to a law degree and she passed the Bar only after multiple efforts. Ms. Cannadie once explained periods of forgetfulness as caused by a “brain worm” that ate part of her brain and died.
Is this a DEI hire? I mean couldn’t they find a white man somewhere better than this?
Hypo #2: Petricia Hogswidth is a lesbian woman seeking to become the head of the entire Department of Defense. Her military experience consists of taking 20 years to rise to the rank of Major in the Army reserves (not Major General, mind you, just Major). She was once denied a key assignment because she was deemed a security risk. As head of DoD she would manage a $1 trillion budget but she has no background or history in managing large budgets or in procurement.
Other than a history as a slowly promoted Army officer she was a co-host on MSNBC known for espousing extreme liberal views. Her former MSNBC and political colleagues, and even members of her family, report that she is a frequent drunk and that when drunk she often aggressively propositioned other women in a harassing manner. She once paid $50,000 hush money to settle with a woman who accused her of sexual harassment.
She has tattoos frequently associated with membership in Antifa.
Surely there must be a straight white man somewhere was more qualified than this person?
Hypo #3: I’ll describe this candidate without reference to any immutable characteristics, simply referring to this person by the initials, “TD.” The job title is also irrelevant, it could be for any job.
TD was born into wealth but TD’s most successful business endeavor may have been hosting a cheesy reality show. While boasting of pedigree academic credentials, TD has taken steps to keep details of TD’s academic records secret and those records remains secret.
Six of the TD’s businesses declared bankruptcy. The history of business failure is notwithstanding a willingness to commit fraud to succeed. TD’s primary business was criminally convicted for multiple counts of tax fraud. TD, and his attorney, were both convicted for a mutual scheme involving multiple counts of felony business fraud. TD has been separately found civilly liable for pervasive business fraud. TD also separately settled at least two civil cases for business fraud in a manner effectively admitting to the fraud. One of these settlements involved abusing a charity for the candidate’s personal slush fund.
TD twice paid hush money to porn models/stars to conceal affairs. Audio records TD suggesting that TD could sexually assault women and get away with it. TD was found civilly liable for sexual assaulting/raping a woman, a determination upheld on appeal. TD is on the record as supporting convicted cop beaters, describing them as “great patriots,” and supporting their complete pardons.
TD is known to have had a long time association with what may be the most notorious child sex trafficker in American history. Photographs and videos document TD frequently partying with this child sex trafficker (and the sex trafficker’s accomplice) while joking together about young women present. Flight records document TD repeatedly flying on the child sex trafficker’s plane. TD is on record as stating TD has known the sex trafficker for many years, regards him as a “great guy” and even that they both share a taste for younger women. TD endorsed the job application of another person despite awareness of credible child sex rape allegations against him.
Surely it is only through DEI that “TD” could be hired for any job.
