Suppose you heard a tape. You are accurately told this tape is of a powerful man who has twice had major businesses shut down because they were fraudulent enterprises. You are further told many of this man’s closest associates have been arrested, indicted and convicted.
Among those very close associates, sitting in jail right now, is his personal attorney of many years, who was convicted for financial fraud offenses he committed with this man.
A major investigation of this man presented compelling evidence of witness tampering and intimidation, but he avoided indictment due to his powerful position.
Another close associate of this man was recently convicted on charges that included witness intimidation. Said associate threatened to kill a witness, and his dog, to suppress an investigation of . . . this man.
In any event, in a secretly recorded conversation this man says the following:
“Get rid of her! Get her out tomorrow. I don’t care. Get her out tomorrow. Take her out. OK? Do it.”
Sounds bad doesn’t it? But there’s some additional facts you should know.
- Two of the persons he said this to, including the one who made the recording, have been arrested and indicted for international financial crimes related to funds used to support . . . this man.
- One of the men received numerous text messages describing secret surveillance on the target of the above comment, to include discussions of her security at various locations.
- These text messages also vaguely offer to do something to this woman because anything can be bought where those conducting the surveillance are.
- Eventually, the target of the above comment receives a phone call at 1 am urging her to get on the next plane out due to concerns for her security.
