The corrupted songs things has been a thing of mine for awhile. It all started when my Texas A&M Aggies were leaving the Big 12 and jumping to the SEC. Some of the schools in the Big 12, most Baylor and Texas, unsuccessfully tried to stop the move inspiring me to write “The Day The Big 12 Died.” It got some actual radio air time on sports talk stations and I have even had a couple of interviews on the radio about it.

I did another one that was popular on Aggie Football fan boards to celebrate the Aggies huge win over Alabama in their first SEC year, that I called “Sweet Win Over Bama.”

The singer in both instances is my daughter. She’s a professional though her usual range is soprano.

I actually started on Medium with a series of Alt-Poetry parodies, probably the best of which was “The Charge of the Lie Brigade.”
