The title of the NYT article never claims Trump’s phone was wiretapped or that the phones of any of his associates were. It has simply been spun that way by dishonest people trying to defend Trump’s ridiculous tweets. The article itself suggests the wiretapping was of Russians.

I addressed the lack of credibility of the Heatstreet article in my original article. The entire point of invoking the N.Y. Times was to claim that credible mainstream media supported this Heatstreet blogger’s unsourced claims. My point was that the N.Y. Times does so only by misrepresenting it.

You have not addressed misrepresentation of the Times for this use. In fact, you tacitly acknowledge that the text the Times’ article does not support the Heatstreet blogger’s claims. You just try to falsely suggest that the headline of the NYT article contradicts the text. Anyone reading it can see it simply does not.
