The Ultimate Political Advertisement Parody That Is Not A Parody.

Picture this hypothetical advertisement.

A tough looking pickup truck races across a dry bed desert landscape. Sound effects are inserted of it coming to a screeching halt. A view from the back corner of the truck displays a “Trump 2024 Take America Back” bumpersticker on its tailgate. The door opens.

Stepping out into the desert heat is a heavily made up, right down cherry red, “come vote for me lipstick,” woman in a bright red-light district red dress, with black leather S&M style vest, and prominently displayed pistol strapped to her generous hips.

As she walks thusly across the desert she announces that she is running for Governor. She speaks of how she is a poor victim for having been an early supporter of Trump, but says, “I don’t care.”

Stating that “we need fighters, not the same old boring, compromised, moderate, blue blazer politicians” she shoves an old style TV set, picturing Mitt Romney, to the ground, while a fake crashing sound effect is inserted.

Unholstering her pistol she announces her “three shot plan” as she points her pistol towards, well towards nothing we can see. However, in three quick successive scenes three beer bottles are destroyed (not by any actual bullets) as three fake gunshot sound effects are inserted. The beer bottles are branded as “socialism” with their large brand names “Vaccine Mandates, the current conservative boogeyman “CRT” and “Voter Fraud.” The pistol packing mamma candidate promises to ban all these things.

The candidate concludes this, for sure advertisement parody, but assuring listeners that “the Biden Administration is coming for me” but that she is “ready for the fight.”

The commercial ends with the pick up truck aggressively driving away as screeching sound effects are inserted.

Brilliant concept, don’t you think? Alas, it is not a concept, it is not a parody. It is a real life, honest to God advertisement by Michele Fiore who seeks to become the real life, actual, honest to God Governor of Nevada. Seriously, watch it for yourself.

I’d plead for God to save this nation, but if that ad works, and it probably will, we don’t deserve for Him to do so.
