According to Trump’s lawyers, he has received no income from Russian sources, and does not carry debt to Russian lenders.

To be more precise, what his lawyers actually said is that Trump’s “tax returns do not reflect” income from Russian sources or debt from Russian lenders. That’s an important difference. If the return did not demand that level of specificity then such income or debt expenses would not be reflected as from Russia even if they were.
