One Trump Twitter Hand Does Not Know What The Other Trump Twitter Hand Is Doing

News stories suggested Trump might actually start to curtail his Twitter addiction. His history of thoughtless and flat out dishonest Tweets is amazing, has been used against him in court, and makes even his strongest supporters cringe. It seemed to get better while he was overseas. Alas, for America, it was only a temporary reprieve. It would be wonderful if for just one day Trump’s tweets were honest. If that Twilight Zone ever happens, it will not air today. Trump returned from his overseas visit to again rant away on Twitter.

We start with a pair of Tweets condemning the mainstream media for relying on unnamed “sources say” that Trump describes (yet again) as “fake news.”

Now let’s compare that to a tweet boosting his own “very reliable source” telling him Obama’s birth certificate is a fraud.

No further comment is needed for that one. Trump also took to Twitter to congratulate himself for making NATO members pay more into the big NATO fund for defense.

Trump would have you believe there is some sort of pot nations pour money into for NATO defense and it is already pouring in. There is not any such pot to pour money into. Each country is just expected to spend at least 2% of GDP in their defense budget and most are not. To the extent (contrary to his words) he is talking about that, Trump would like you to believe that in just a couple of days the leaders of these nations have already gone back their countries, totally reworked their budgets, and are already spending more today on defense.

Yes, it really is that stupid and preposterous.

Any notion that our President would be more responsible with his Twitter account has been shot to Hell.
