Trump Calls For A Civil War

Today, a former President of the United States, who seeks to be President again, posted on his social media platform open support for a “civil war” in the United States. Yes, this actually happened in America (how often have we had to say that about something Trump or his supporters did?).

On his “TruthSocial” platform Trump “retruthed” a post from someone identified only as “MAGA King Thanos” that simply said “Civil War” in response to a post from the President of El Salvador suggesting that the United States was failing due to enemies within.

The shameful part of this scandal is that it won’t be a scandal. The Trump MAGA crowd will openly cheer this call for sedition, insurrection, and just flat out Americans killing other Americans. Many of them simply can’t wait to exercise their understanding of 2d Amendment rights, which they interpret as a license to kill other Americans if they don’t get their way. From their perspective, the failings of this day is that it did not go for enough:

I invite Republicans to prove me wrong about my harsh words above. Make Trump’s call for a civil war a scandal within your own party. Condemn it. Condemn Trump for it. Prove me a liar and reject him as the clear de facto leader of your party that he is.
