Today Donald Trump effectively endorsed bomb threats that have forced the evacuation of hospitals, schools and government offices in Springfield Ohio. He was asked directly if he condemned the bomb threats, an absurd softball question for which there could be but what easy answer. Trump declined to condemn the bomb threats, arguing instead for the cause of those making the bomb threats. It went like this:

Reporter: Do you denounce the bomb threats in Springfield Ohio.

Trump: I don’t know what happened with the bomb threats. I know that its been taken over by illegal migrants, and that’s a terrible thing that happened. Springfield was this beautiful town and now they are going through Hell.

Trump continues to incite violence. He refused to commit to a peaceful transition in 2020, he refused to discourage violence then, and we ended up with violence. If there is blood in Springfield, it will be on Donald Trump’s hands.
