Donald Trump shared sensitive American submarine secrets, to include nuclear secrets, with a foreign national member of Mar-a-Lago who then effectively told them to the world. Trump did this in April 2021, months after he left office.
In particular, Trump told Australian businessman (and billionaire) Anthony Pratt the number of nuclear warheads normally carried on American subs, and precisely how close our subs can get to Soviet counterparts without being detected. Pratt then told nearly 50 others including foreign officials, his own employees and reporters. How many people those scores of others told is incalculable.
This is known because Pratt, who I will emphasize is NOT even an American citizen, has been interviewed at least twice by the FBI and has cooperated.
Can you imagine what the MAGAs would say had this been Clinton or Obama? The “treason” word would be freely used. But it’s not Obama or Clinton, it’s their guy, so any amount of corruption, and even babbling away American nuclear secrets and tactical capabilities of submarines that our enemies would love to know, is acceptable simply because their guy did it.At a minimum this seems a serious violation of Espionage Act provision 18 USC § 798, an offense with a maximum 10 year prison sentence.
