Trump June 21: Biden Can’t Stop My Afghanistan Withdrawal

On June 21st of this year Trump boasted that he had taken the withdrawal from Afghanistan so far that the Biden Administration couldn’t stop it if they wanted to.

I started the process. All the troops are coming back home. They couldn’t stop the process. 21 years is enough. Don’t we think? 21 years. They couldn’t stop the process. They wanted to, but it was very tough to stop.” — Donald Trump, June 21st this year, at a rally in Ohio.

It gets better. Trump’s bragging about how he made this irreversible included openly stating that it would result in the quick collapse of the Afghanistan government.

“21 years by a government that wouldn’t last, the only way they last is if we’re there. What are we going to say? That we’ll stay for another 21 years? . . . The whole thing is ridiculous. So we’re bringing our troops back home!”

Trump made this happen, he boasted about making it happen, he said he made sure Biden couldn’t stop it, and he bragged that he knew this would happen (the collapse of the Afghan military and government).

Yet Republicans are blaming Biden. The blame is so divorced from reality that they are talking the 25th Amendment or impeachment. I’d say it has helped identify the crazies, but they revealed themselves long ago. Watch it for yourself.
